Recently I started braving local networking events. The first one that I went to was for women in business. I didn’t know what to expect or if I’d feel awkward. So I settled my energy, opened my heart and mind and got out of the car. It was loud and people seemed to already have found their pockets of conversation. But I stayed brave and carried my 6 foot frame through the crowd.

It turned out to be  a nice  gathering of women from different walks of life: entrepreneurs, creatives, executives, visionaries. Many looked as unsure and
