Training with the Modern Mystery School
Life over the last few months has been pretty intense and I’ve been dodging curveballs. But on the day I took this photo I only saw a slow, steady, pure brightness in myself.
In the two weeks leading up to this moment I was able to retreat, reset and rejoin my Modern Mystery School family for training, healing, aligning, and sharing. It seriously felt like such a blessing.
Every time we gather is special. This one was extra special. 1) We haven't been able to meet since the before times, when usually we are together 2-3 times a year. 2) My own life has been out of the realm of what I could have expected in challenging yet glorious ways (stay tuned for more about that). And I was really, really ready for a break. 3) Our school and it’s gracious leaders have been in the midst of some turmoil. 4) I got to witness the people that I have been training alongside for the last 8 or so years stepping into new roles as teachers and facilitators, which was just so so special and truly speaks to the leadership, guidance, and opportunities available to those who want and work for it.
At the end of our 2 week program, I could see and feel how different I was and I knew that I needed a photo of myself. I wanted to remember and be able to share what I was experiencing.
For me, this clarity is priceless. This strength and empowerment is priceless. The experience of traveling together along the path of truly knowing who we are in the reflection of the Light is priceless. The magic of these moments is priceless. And getting to offer what I have received has been priceless to both me and those who’ve received it.
Reflecting on where I was back in 2012 when I first met my patient, brave, strong, dedicated and loving Guide on this Path, Yoko Maria until this photo is incredible and words really won’t do it justice. But with the guidance, support, tenderness, wisdom and care of Ipsissimus Dave Lanyon; the grace and kindness of Divina Franca Lanyon ; the support, skill and reflection of Kathleen Lanyon; and the magic, the teaching, the empowerment and shining example of our potential that is held up by Founder Gudni Gudnason (and SO many others. It’s painful to offer one name without naming everyone. It really does take a village.) Not to mention the selfless friendships and the many opportunities to grow at my own pace and mess up without being judged. Priceless.
I deeply value the sincerity of imperfection and those who make the effort to keep evolving for the better. I see myself in this way as well. I have not arrived but I am well on my way with no plans to stop. Thanks to the path laid out through the Modern Mystery School and held for us by Founder Gudni Gudnason, Ipsissimus Hideto Nakagome, Ipsissimus Dave Lanyon and the open hearted support of the leaders, teachers and friends, I don’t have to worry about stumbling, only taking it step by step.
